Eating habits In Brazil And The Globalization Effects On Such Habits

Brazilian culture is, in many ways, related greatly to food. While most brazilian families still eat the traditional kinds of food, which were mostly inspired by our Portuguese colonizers, the native indians on the continent and the african slaves taken from their motherland, the worldwide fenomenon of Globalization is causing na interesting effect on brazilians, especially those who live in or near a big city. The said phenomenon has caused bad eating habits to increase, as Brazil's rising economy is a big invitation to international companies, some of those being fast-food chains. In fact, one of the most affected social class is the lower middle class brazilian society, as the economy is growing and people have better conditions to eat in the "fancy" international fast-food chains. Overweight population is getting bigger every day, and so is the number of people who have health conditions as a result of the careless fast-food eating.
Many projects are compromised to increasing the number of healthy-eating brazilians, as the overall health of the society is decreasing and natural products are harder to find than years back.
